Not a big story in a game in Istanbul where 14th ranked Selcuk Universitesi (6-16) was rolled over by fourth ranked Galatasaray (15-7) 79-56 on Sunday. The hosts trailed by 1 point at the halftime before their 50-26 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. Galatasaray outrebounded Selcuk Universitesi 37-26 including 28 on the defensive glass. British Pops Mensah-Bonsu (206-83, college: G.Washington, agency: SportsTalent) fired a double-double by scoring 14 points and 11 rebounds for the winners. Serbian Zoran Erceg (210-85) chipped in 15 points (made all of his seven free throws). Four Galatasaray players scored in double figures. Galatasaray's coach Ergin Ataman felt very confident that he used 11 players and allowed the starting five to rest. Lithuanian guard Tomas Delininkaitis (190-82) produced 13 points and 6 assists and center Cem Coskun (209-87) added 9 points respectively for lost side. Defending champion maintains fourth position with 15-7 record. Newly promoted Selcuk Universitesi keeps the fourteenth place with 16 games lost. They share the position with Mersin. Galatasaray will meet Royal Hali (#9) in the next round where they are favorite. Selcuk Universitesi will play against the league's second-placed Fenerbahce Ulker (#2) and hope to secure a win.
