Regular Season Round 22: Herner - Osnabruck 93-59
Date: March 22, 2014
Not a big story in a game when 11th ranked Osnabruck (6-16) was outscored on the road by fifth ranked Herner TC (13-9) 93-59 on Saturday. The game without a history. Herner TC led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 62 of its points in the paint compared to Osnabruck's 34. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international center Lisa Koop (197-85, college: Winthrop) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 26 points and 11 rebounds. Forward Katharina Mueller (181-94) contributed with 17 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Four Herner TC players scored in double figures. Power forward Britta Worms (186-88) replied with a double-double by scoring 23 points and 11 rebounds and American forward Ali Schwagmeyer (180-90, college: Quincy, agency: Gamble Sports Management) added 15 points in the effort for Osnabruck. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games.
