Another upset was a game between Mersin (13-12) and Canik Bld (10-15), which took place in Samsun. Higher ranked Mersin lost to tenth ranked Canik Bld in a road game 63-70 on Saturday. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Mersin won fourth quarter 19-17. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. It was a very good performance for Hungarian center Dora Horti (193-87, agency: Interperformances) who helped to win the game recording 16 points and 9 rebounds. American center Courtney Paris (191-87, college: Oklahoma) answered with a double-double by scoring 26 points and 14 rebounds and American-FYR Macedonian forward Ashley Paris (191-87, college: Oklahoma) added 11 points and 15 rebounds in the effort for Mersin. Mersin's coach let to play ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Canik Bld moved-up to eighth place, which they share with Orduspor. Loser Mersin keeps the sixth position with 12 games lost. Canik Bld will face Tarsus Bld (#11) in Mersin in the next round.
