Regular Season Round 27: Art.Dragons - Phoenix Hagen 88-68
Date: March 22, 2014
Rather predictable result when sixth ranked Artland Dragons (17-10) rolled over 10th ranked Phoenix Hagen (12-15) in Quakenbrueck 88-68 on Saturday. The hosts trailed by 2 points after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 10-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 88-68. It was a good game for American forward Lawrence Hill (203-87, college: Stanford) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 19 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists (perfect behind the arc making all five shots). American-Cypriot power forward Anthony King (206-85, college: Miami, FL, agency: Interperformances) contributed with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 13 rebounds for the winners. American forward Larry Gordon (196-87, college: Cal Poly Pomona) answered with 11 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists and the other American import power forward Keith Ramsey (205-87, college: Missouri) added 14 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for Phoenix Hagen. Five Artland Dragons and four Phoenix Hagen players scored in double figures. Phoenix Hagen's coach Ingo Freyer rotated eleven players seeing no chance for a win. Artland Dragons moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Telekom Bsk. Loser Phoenix Hagen keeps the tenth position with 15 games lost.
