ProA top team - BG Goettingen (25-3) managed to deliver another win on Saturday. This time they beat eighth ranked Kirchheim Knights (14-14) 101-90. The game was mostly controlled by BG Goettingen. Kirchheim Knights managed to win third quarter 23-22. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. BG Goettingen made 22-of-27 free shots (81.5 percent) during the game. It was a great shooting night for BG Goettingen especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 52.4 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. American guard Alex Ruoff (198-86, college: W.Virginia) fired 21 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. The other American import guard David Godbold (196-85, college: Oklahoma) chipped in 18 points and 5 assists. American Benjamin Beran (201-84, college: S.Dakota St.) produced 11 points and naturalized Serbian guard Radivoj Tomasevic (182-78) added 13 points respectively for lost side. Four BG Goettingen and five Kirchheim Knights players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. BG Goettingen have an impressive 14-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 25-3 record. Loser Kirchheim Knights dropped to the ninth place with 14 games lost. They share the position with ETB Wohnbau. BG Goettingen will meet league's second-placed Crailsheim Merlins on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week.
