No shocking result in a game when seventh ranked Satu Mare (13-13) crushed 10th ranked Rapid (8-18) in Bucuresti 83-62. The game was mostly controlled by Satu Mare. Rapid was better in second period 18-14. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded Rapid 27-16. The best player for the winners was American guard Kortni Jones (175-91, college: Middle Tenn.St., agency: Interperformances) who scored 27 points and 5 assists (perfect from the field making all eleven shots !!!). The other American import center Caila Desroches (193-88, college: Chicago St.) chipped in a double-double by scoring 16 points and 14 rebounds. Four Satu Mare players scored in double figures. Center Roxana Bejan (187) produced 14 points and guard Monica Nicolaescu (167-83) added 7 points and 4 assists respectively for the hosts. Rapid's coach Dan Militaru gave up on the game allowing to play ten players seeing no chance for a win. Satu Mare maintains seventh position with 13-13 record. Rapid at the other side dropped to the eleventh place with 18 games lost.
