There was a small surprise when eleventh ranked Tarsus Bld (8-17) crushed 8th ranked Orduspor (10-15) in Mersin 83-63 on Saturday. The game without a history. Tarsus Bld led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. Quite impressive performance for American Delisha Milton-Jones (186-74, college: Florida, agency: Josep and Nicolas) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 26 points and 11 rebounds (on 12-of-14 shooting from the field). Her fellow American import point guard Natasha Lacy (178-85, college: UTEP, agency: Merit Management Group) contributed with 15 points, 5 rebounds, 8 assists and 5 steals for the winners. Tarsus Bld's coach used an eleven-player rotation saving starting five for next games. American forward Avery Warley (190-87, college: Liberty) answered with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 12 rebounds and Montenegrin power forward Milica Jovanovic (189-89) added 13 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for Orduspor. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Tarsus Bld maintains eleventh place with 8-17 record, which they share with Konak. Newly promoted Orduspor keeps the eighth position with 15 games lost. Tarsus Bld will face higher ranked Canik Bld (#9) in Samsun in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
