Rather expected game when 13th ranked Dnipro (4-19) lost to tenth ranked Hoverla (11-13) in Dnepropetrovsk 70-76 on Tuesday. The game without a history. Hoverla led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists. It was an exceptional evening for the former international center Danylo Kozlov (206-82) who led the winners and scored 12 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists. Swingman Pavel Revzin (194-83) accounted for 14 points and 6 rebounds for the winning side. Four Hoverla players scored in double figures. Center Vladislav Korenyuk (207-94) came up with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 10 rebounds and the former international guard Maxim Balashov (190-80, agency: Stanislav Ryzhov) added 18 points respectively for Dnipro in the defeat. Dnipro's coach Valdemaras Chomicius tested ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Hoverla moved-up to ninth place. Loser Dnipro keeps the thirteenth position with 19 games lost. Hoverla will meet higher ranked Ferro-ZNTU (#6) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Dnipro will play against Halychyna (#7) and hope to secure a win.
