Regular Season Round 28: BC Odessa - Ferro-ZNTU 71-72

The most shocking disappointment of round 28 was only one-point a home defeat of 3rd ranked BC Odessa (16-10) to fourth ranked Ferro-ZNTU (17-9) 72-71. The guests trailed by 1 point at the halftime before their 17-8 charge in the third quarter, which allowed them to win the game. Ferro-ZNTU looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of forward Yakov Zmitrovich (200-84) who helped to win the game recording 17 points and the former international point guard Artem Butskyy (186-81, agency: Beo Basket) who added 16 points and 6 assists during the contest. At the losing side swingman Denis Noskov (202-90) responded with a double-double by scoring 12 points, 12 rebounds and 7 assists and the former international Andriy Agafonov (208-86, agency: Interperformances) scored 18 points and 8 rebounds. Five BC Odessa players scored in double figures. Ferro-ZNTU moved-up to third place. BC Odessa lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the sixth position with ten games lost. Ferro-ZNTU will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. BC Odessa will play at home against Azovmash (#5) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
