Fifteenth-ranked Maliye Milli (10-19) gave a tough game to second ranked Ankara DSI Era (22-7) on Saturday. The visitors managed to secure only one-point victory 80-79. However their fans expected much easier game. Maliye Milli was trailing by 1 point at halftime but managed to get 10-point lead after three quarters before a 26-15 charge of Ankara DSI Era, which allowed them to win the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. Swingman Hakan Erol (200-83) stepped up and scored 24 points and 5 rebounds for the winners and forward Mustafa Gorur (204-88, agency: 1x1 Sports) chipped in 18 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists. Ankara DSI Era's coach used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. American swingman Vincent Grier (195-83, college: Minnesota) responded with 22 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists and forward Sahin Ekmen (203-89) scored 22 points (was perfect 8-for-8 from the free throw line). Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Ankara DSI Era have an impressive series of ten victories in a row. Newly promoted Ankara DSI Era maintains second place with 22-7 record having just two points less than leader Darussafaka. Maliye Milli lost fifth consecutive game. They keep the fifteenth position with 19 games lost. They share it with Pertevniyal.
