The game between ninth ranked ETB Wohnbau (16-14) and 13th ranked Bayer Giants (9-21) in Essen on Sunday ended with biggest points difference. ETB Wohnbau outscored guests from Leverkusen 101-71. The game without a history. ETB Wohnbau led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They shot the lights out from three sinking 15 long-distance shots on high 51.7 percentage. It was a good game for Canadian-Bosnian guard Diego Kapelan (190-87, college: McNeese St.) who led his team to a victory with 25 points and 8 rebounds. American point guard Chris Alexander (186-83, college: Southern) contributed with 21 points for the winners. Four ETB Wohnbau players scored in double figures. ETB Wohnbau's coach Igor Krizanovic felt very confident that he used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American John Eggleston (203-88, college: Pennsylvania) replied with a double-double by scoring 24 points and 10 rebounds (went 10 for 10 at the free throw line !!!) and his fellow American import guard Tony Watson II (188-90, college: Buffalo, agency: SDJ Sports) added 17 points in the effort for Bayer Giants. ETB Wohnbau have an impressive eight-game winning streak. They moved-up to eighth place, which they share with Heidelberg. Newly promoted Bayer Giants keep the thirteenth position with 21 games lost.
