Regular Season Round 30: Koksokh-Stal - BK Donetsk-2 83-65

An interesting game took place in Alchevsk where higher ranked BK Donetsk-2 (14-5) was upset on the court of fifteenth ranked Koksokh-Stal (3-18) 83-65 on Sunday. The game without a history. Koksokh-Stal led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Koksokh-Stal outrebounded BK Donetsk-2 136-72 including a 50-27 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 36 assists. The best player for the winners was Evgeniy Kharchenko who scored 28 points. Power forward Jan Selivanov (201-79) chipped in a double-double by scoring 14 points and 10 rebounds. Four Koksokh-Stal players scored in double figures. Koksokh-Stal's coach Aleksander Bezuglov used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the other side the best for losing team was Sergiy Pavlov (199-97) who recorded 32 points and 5 rebounds and point guard Vitaliy Zotov (186-97) added 8 points, 7 rebounds and 8 assists respectively. Koksokh-Stal moved-up to fourteenth place. Newly promoted BK Donetsk-2 keeps the fourth position with five games lost. Koksokh-Stal will meet at home higher ranked Mykolaiv-2 (#13) in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. BK Donetsk-2 will play against Musson (#8) in Symferopil and hope to secure a win.
