Sixth-ranked NBC (17-13) used its home court advantage to challenge second ranked Crailsheim Merlins (22-8) in Nurnberg on Sunday. The visitors from Crailsheim managed to secure only three-point victory 84-81. However their fans expected much easier game. The guests were tied at the half but managed to speed up in last two quarters eventually winning the game. Crailsheim Merlins forced 19 NBC turnovers. 24 personal fouls committed by NBC helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. It was a good game for American power forward Stevie Johnson (198-78, college: Iowa St.) who led his team to a victory with 14 points and 7 rebounds.
