Ninth-ranked EnBW Ludwigsburg (13-14) gave a tough game to fifth ranked Artland Dragons (18-10) on Friday. The visitors from Quakenbrueck managed to secure only three-point victory 74-71. However their fans expected much easier game. The guests trailed by 6 points after three quarters before their 24-15 charge, which allowed them to win the game. American-Cypriot power forward Anthony King (206-85, college: Miami, FL, agency: Interperformances) fired 23 points and 9 rebounds (made all of his nine free throws !!!) for the winners. American forward Lawrence Hill (203-87, college: Stanford) chipped in 22 points and 6 rebounds. Naturalized American forward Adam Waleskowski (203-82, college: Florida St., agency: Three Eye Sports) produced 22 points and 7 rebounds and American point guard Michael Stockton (185-89, college: Westminster, UT) added 15 points respectively for lost side. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Artland Dragons maintains fifth position with 18-10 record. EnBW Ludwigsburg lost third consecutive game. They keep the ninth place with 14 games lost. Artland Dragons will meet Walter Tigers (#17) in the next round which should be an easy win for them. EnBW Ludwigsburg will play against Eisbaeren Bremerhaven (#12) and hope to secure a win.
