Very important is a road loss of third ranked Yesilgiresun (21-9) against seventh ranked Pamukkale (18-12) on Saturday night. Visiting Yesilgiresun was defeated by Pamukkale in a tough game in Pamukkale 72-78. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Yesilgiresun. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning the initial quarter 15-12. But Yesilgiresun won second period 24-22. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. It was a good game for Bosnian-Slovenian center Hasan Rizvic (212-84) who led his team to a victory with 17 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists. Guard Mahir Bayrak (180-79) contributed with 16 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. Pamukkale's coach allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. American guard Marcus Hall (185-85, college: Colorado) replied with 16 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists and the former international forward Yunus Cankaya (199-85) added 18 points and 4 assists in the effort for Yesilgiresun. Pamukkale maintains seventh position with 18-12 record. Yesilgiresun at the other side keeps the third place with nine games lost. Pamukkale will play against bottom-ranked Hacettepe (#18) in Ankara in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Yesilgiresun will play at home against Final Genclik (#9) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
