Regular Season Round 23: Koper - Krka II 78-81

Thirteenth-ranked Koper (4-19) made lots of trouble for tenth ranked Krka II (9-14) on Saturday. The visitors from Novo Mesto managed to secure only three-point victory 81-78. However their fans expected easier game. The guests trailed by 11 points after three quarters before their 28-14 charge, which allowed them to win the game. Krka II forced 19 Koper turnovers. It was a great evening for Jure Ritlop (202-95) who led his team to a victory scoring 22 points. point guard Domen Janc (185-96) helped adding 13 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. Guard Jan Barbaric (185-95) responded with a double-double by scoring 11 points, 11 rebounds and 5 assists and forward Leon Santelj (201-95) scored 15 points and 9 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Newly promoted Krka II maintains tenth place with 9-14 record. Koper lost their eighth game in a row. Koper at the other side, also newcomer in the league, keeps the thirteenth position with 19 games lost. They share it with Radenska. Krka II will meet at home bottom-ranked Radenska (#14) in the next round. Koper will play against LTH Castings in Skofja Loka and hope to secure a win.
