Very important is a home loss of second ranked Ankara DSI Era (22-8) against tenth ranked Balikesir (15-15) on Saturday night. Host Ankara DSI Era was defeated by Balikesir in Ankara 77-66. It ended at the same time the ten-game winning streak of Ankara DSI Era. Ankara DSI Era was trailing by 2 points at halftime but managed to get 3-point lead after three quarters before a 29-15 charge of Balikesir, which allowed them to win the game. The best for the losing side was forward Mustafa Gorur (204-88, agency: 1x1 Sports) with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 13 rebounds and Latvian center Kaspars Kambala (206-78, college: UNLV) scored 19 points. Ankara DSI Era's coach let to play ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Balikesir moved-up to eighth place. Newly promoted Ankara DSI Era keeps the second position with eight games lost. Balikesir will meet at home Maliye Milli (#15) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Ankara DSI Era will play against ITU Istanbul (#10) and hope to secure a win.
