No shocking result in a game in Funchal where third ranked CAB Madeira (10-9) defeated 10th ranked Galitos-Tley (7-13) 89-85. However just four-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. Galitos-Tley was ahead by 2 points at the halftime before a 44-38 second half run of CAB Madeira. American point guard Ricky Franklin (185-87, college: Wisc.-Milwaukee) nailed 25 points and 9 assists for the winning side and the former international Jorge Coelho (200-78) accounted for 17 points and 6 rebounds. The former international guard Miguel Minhava (195-83) came up with 24 points and 7 assists and American center K.C. Robbins (210-88, college: Ill.-Chicago) added 9 points and 15 rebounds respectively for Galitos-Tley in the defeat. Five CAB Madeira and four Galitos-Tley players scored in double figures. Despite that victory CAB Madeira went down to fifth position due to points difference. Galitos-Tley at the other side keeps the tenth place with 13 games lost.
