Very expected game when 13th ranked Concordia (2-24) lost on the road to seventh ranked Pitesti (16-10) 82-72 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Pitesti. Concordia managed to win third quarter 24-14. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded Concordia 50-28 including a 21-4 advantage in offensive rebounds. Pitesti looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists comparing to just 12 passes made by Concordia's players. Serbian-Bosnian power forward Marko Djurkovic (205-87) notched a double-double by scoring 12 points and 16 rebounds to lead the effort and Serbian point guard Edi Sinadinovic (193-88) supported him with 17 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists. Four Pitesti players scored in double figures. Even 26 points and 6 rebounds by point guard Balmus Gheorghe (180-92) did not help to save the game for Concordia. Serbian power forward Milos Petkovic (201-91, agency: Global Sports Plaza) added 17 points and 8 rebounds for the guests. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Pitesti have a solid four-game winning streak. They moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Craiova. Concordia lost third consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the thirteenth position with 24 games lost.
