No shocking result in a game when fourth ranked CSU Sibiu (19-7) beat at home 9th ranked Steaua CSM (13-13) 88-72 on Saturday. The hosts trailed by 3 points at the halftime before their 53-34 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. Serbian guard Milos Bojovic (198-81, agency: Beo Basket) notched 25 points and 6 rebounds to lead the effort and Bosnian-Croatian guard Matija Ceskovic (192-81) supported him with 21 points and 4 assists. Even 16 points and 8 rebounds by the former international power forward Virgil Stanescu (208-77, college: S.Alabama, agency: Interperformances) did not help to save the game for Steaua CSM. American Greg Mangano (208-89, college: Yale) added 15 points and 6 rebounds for the guests. CSU Sibiu moved-up to third place, which they share with Oradea. Newly promoted Steaua CSM keeps the ninth position with 13 games lost.
