The game had a very big importance for second-ranked Kirovograd as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Kirovograd smashed 9th ranked NEMO Odessa at home 122-70. The game without a history. Kirovograd led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 70 of its points in the paint compared to NEMO Odessa's 36. They outrebounded NEMO Odessa 57-18 including a 21-5 advantage in offensive rebounds. Kirovograd looked well-organized offensively handing out 38 assists comparing to just 12 passes made by NEMO Odessa's players. American forward Quintrell Thomas (203-90, college: UNLV, agency: Hart Sports Mngm) fired a double-double by scoring 22 points and 18 rebounds (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field) for the winners. His fellow American import point guard DeAndre Mays (188-87, college: Youngstown St., agency: Stanislav Ryzhov) chipped in 12 points, 9 rebounds and 9 assists. Five Kirovograd players scored in double figures. Kirovograd's coach Igor Chigrinov felt very confident that he used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Guard Dmytro Politov (192-87) produced 24 points and point guard Vladyslav Kokorev (185-93) added 16 points and 7 assists respectively for lost side. As mentioned above they are alone now at the top position. NEMO Odessa at the other side keeps the ninth place with ten games lost. They share the position with VolinBasket. NEMO Odessa will play next round against VolinBasket trying to get back on the winning streak. Kirovograd will try to continue on its current victory against fourteenth ranked Koksokh-Stal in Alchevsk.
