Tenth-ranked Royal Hali (11-15) made lots of trouble for fifth ranked Besiktas (16-10) in Istanbul on Saturday. Besiktas managed to secure only three-point victory 94-91. However their fans expected much easier game. Royal Hali trailed by 14 points after 3 quarters before a 34-23 run in the last quarter cut the deficit to 91-94 at the end of the game. Besiktas made 29-of-34 free shots (85.3 percent) during the game. Besiktas outrebounded Royal Hali 36-12 including a 17-5 advantage in offensive rebounds. Both coaches allowed to play bench players in such tough game. Besiktas have an impressive eight-game winning streak. They moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Karsiyaka and Usak. Royal Hali lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the ninth position with 15 games lost. They share it with TED Kolejliler. Besiktas will meet bottom-ranked Aliaga (#16) on the road in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Royal Hali will play against Karsiyaka (#5) and hope to secure a win.
