Not a big story in a game when 13th ranked Antalya (13-18) was outscored on the road by sixth ranked Istanbul B.B. (20-11) 110-75 on Saturday. The game without a history. Istanbul B.B. led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 80 of its points in the paint compared to Antalya's 44. They outrebounded Antalya 36-24 including 23 on the defensive glass. Istanbul B.B. looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. Quite impressive performance for American forward Eric Buckner (208-90, college: Georgia St., agency: David Lee services) who helped to win the game recording 17 points and 8 rebounds. His fellow American import point guard Marque Perry (185-81, college: St.Louis, agency: N.E.T.) contributed with 14 points and 5 assists for the winners. Five Istanbul B.B. players scored in double figures. American forward Damien Kinloch (203-80, college: Tenn Tech) answered with 21 points and 6 rebounds (made all of his eight free throws) (on 9-of-10 shooting from the field) and guard Seray Yildirim (193-92) added 14 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Antalya. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Istanbul B.B. have a solid series of three victories in a row. They maintain sixth place with 20-11 record. Loser Antalya dropped to the twelfth position with 18 games lost. Istanbul B.B. will face Balikesir (#9) on the road in the next round. Antalya will play against Pamukkale and hope to win that game.
