Semi-Finals Game 1: Sojuz Zaretchny - MBA Moscow 75-52

Sojuz Zaretchny rallied past MBA Moscow for the opening win in the semifinal series. The game was mostly controlled by Sojuz Zaretchny. MBA Moscow was better in second period 20-17. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They dominated on the defensive end, holding MBA Moscow to just 5 points in first quarter. They outrebounded MBA Moscow 36-24 including a 26-15 advantage in offensive rebounds. Worth to mention a great performance of Aleksandr Diatchkov (191-81) who helped to win the game recording 15 points. Power forward Stanislav Sarafankin (195-93) contributed with 11 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Guard Konstantin Babynin (192-88) answered with 14 points and power forward Alexander Tikhonin (205-92) added 13 points in the effort for MBA Moscow. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games.
