Regular Season Round 30: Bayreuth - Art.Dragons 75-78

Date: April 17, 2014
No shocking result in a game when fifth ranked Artland Dragons (19-11) edged on the road 15th ranked BBC Bayreuth (10-20) 78-75 on Thursday. The guests trailed by 1 point after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 8-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 78-75. It was a good game for American-Cypriot power forward Anthony King (206-85, college: Miami, FL, agency: Interperformances) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 23 points and 11 rebounds. American forward Lawrence Hill (203-87, college: Stanford) contributed with 12 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. American forward Kyle Weems (198-89, college: Missouri St.) replied with 34 points (!!!) and 5 rebounds and his fellow American import center Brian Qvale (210-88, college: Montana) added 12 points and 11 rebounds in the effort for BBC Bayreuth. Artland Dragons maintains fifth position with 19-11 record. Loser BBC Bayreuth keeps the fifteenth place with 20 games lost. Artland Dragons will face higher ranked ALBA Berlin (#3) on the road in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. BBC Bayreuth will play against ratiopharm Ulm (#7) and hope to win that game.
