There was a minor upset when 7th ranked ratiopharm Ulm (17-13) lost on the road to ninth ranked EnBW Ludwigsburg (15-14) 86-82 on Thursday. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But ratiopharm Ulm won third quarter 23-17. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. American players dominated the game. It was a good game for Keaton Grant (193-86, college: Purdue) who led his team to a victory with 26 points and 4 steals. Guard Coby Karl (196-83, college: Boise St., agency: Priority Sports) contributed with 17 points and 4 assists for the winners. Center Trent Plaisted (211-86, college: BYU, agency: Priority Sports) replied with 17 points and 9 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) and guard Cameron Long (193-88, college: George Mason, agency: KMG Sports Management) added 18 points in the effort for ratiopharm Ulm. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. EnBW Ludwigsburg maintains ninth position with 15-14 record. ratiopharm Ulm at the other side keeps the seventh place with 13 games lost. EnBW Ludwigsburg will face s Oliver Baskets (#16) in Wuerzburg in the next round and are hoping to win another game.
