There was no surprise when 13th ranked Mykolaiv-2 (3-17) was defeated at home by second ranked Kirovograd (21-3) 80-64 on Friday. The guests trailed by 2 points at the halftime before their 41-23 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. Kirovograd forced 21 Mykolaiv-2 turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. American forward Quintrell Thomas (203-90, college: UNLV, agency: Hart Sports Mngm) had a double-double by scoring 28 points and 11 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and guard Stanislav Ovdeyenko (191-84) chipped in 19 points and 5 rebounds during the contest.
