Regular Season Round 34: BK Kyiv-Vovcha - Koksokh-Stal 81-80

Bottom-ranked Kyiv-Vovcha zgraya managed to get a third victory. This time newly promoted Kyiv-Vovcha zgraya edged fourteenth-ranked Koksokh-Stal 81-80. It looked good early as Koksokh-Stal took an 6-point lead at the end of first quarter. But then Kyiv-Vovcha zgraya had a 28-16 second period charge getting the lead and Koksokh-Stal was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 80-81. Worth to mention a great performance of Volodymyr Pishchikov (187-94) who helped to win the game recording 33 points (!!!), 7 rebounds and 7 assists. Center Igor Yurkievichus (205-94) contributed with 20 points for the winners. Swingman Boris Berezyuk (197-87) replied with 32 points and 7 rebounds and power forward Jan Selivanov (201-79) added 11 points and 18 rebounds in the effort for Koksokh-Stal. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Kyiv-Vovcha zgraya (3-21) moved-up to fourteenth place, which they share with defeated Koksokh-Stal. Koksokh-Stal lost third consecutive game. Kyiv-Vovcha zgraya will play against league's second-placed SoyuzBasket in Shahtarsk in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Koksokh-Stal will have a break next round.
