Rather expected game when 5th ranked Artland Dragons (19-12) were defeated on the road by third ranked ALBA Berlin (23-7) 89-75. The game was mostly controlled by ALBA Berlin. Artland Dragons was better in second period 25-24. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. ALBA Berlin made 23-of-28 charity shots (82.1 percent) during the game. It was an exceptional evening for American swingman Reggie Redding (196-88, college: Villanova) who led the winners and scored 17 points (made all of his eight free throws). Canadian-Irish power forward Levon Kendall (209-84, college: Pittsburgh) accounted for 15 points and 6 rebounds for the winning side. American-Cypriot power forward Anthony King (206-85, college: Miami, FL, agency: Interperformances) came up with 20 points and 5 rebounds and American forward Lawrence Hill (203-87, college: Stanford) added 10 points and 7 rebounds respectively for Artland Dragons in the defeat. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. ALBA Berlin have an impressive series of six victories in a row. They maintain third place with 23-7 record having just three points less than leader B.Muenchen. Artland Dragons at the other side keep the fifth position with 12 games lost. They share it with Telekom Bsk. ALBA Berlin will play against TBB Trier (#12) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Artland Dragons will play against Telekom Baskets (#6) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
