Regular Season Round 32: Neptunas - Tonybet 81-83

Fifth-ranked Neptunas (14-6) made lots of trouble for first ranked Tonybet (25-9) in Klaipeda on Saturday. The visitors from Prienai managed to secure only two-point victory 83-81. However their fans expected much easier game. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Neptunas won fourth quarter 28-22. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Tonybet shot 62.7 percent from the field. It was a great shooting night for Tonybet especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 55.6 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. The best player for the winners was guard Zygimantas Janavicius (188-89, agency: Interperformances) who had a double-double by scoring 16 points, 5 rebounds and 11 assists. Forward Laimonas Kisielius (203-85, college: William & Mary) chipped in 22 points. Four Tonybet players scored in double figures. Guard Marius Runkauskas (189-86) produced 16 points and 4 assists and forward Justas Sinica (203-85) added 16 points respectively for the hosts. Neptunas' coach Kazys Maksvytis rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Tonybet maintains first position with 25-9 record. Neptunas at the other side keeps the fifth place with six games lost. They share the position with Zalgiris.
