Regular Season Round 28: Anadolu Efes - Turk Telekom 82-77
Date: April 26, 2014
Not a big story in a game in Istanbul where 10th ranked Turk Telekom (11-17) was defeated by third ranked Anadolu Efes (21-7) 82-77. However just five-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. It looked good early as Turk Telekom took an 8-point lead at the end of first quarter. But then Anadolu Efes took control and eventually winning the game that evening by 5 points. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 24 assists. Quite impressive performance for naturalized FYR Macedonian Cedi Osman (199-95) who helped to win the game recording 16 points, 9 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals. Serbian-Montenegrin power forward Milko Bjelica (205-84, agency: Beo Basket) contributed with 16 points for the winners. American guard Manny Harris (197-89, college: Michigan) replied with 29 points and 5 rebounds and Serbian forward Luka Bogdanovic (210-85, agency: Beo Basket) added 16 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Turk Telekom. Anadolu Efes have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain third position with 21-7 record having six points less than leader Banvit BK. Turk Telekom at the other side keeps the tenth place with 17 games lost. Anadolu Efes' next round opponent will be league's leader Banvit BK in Balikesir and it will be for sure the game of the week. Turk Telekom will play at home against Besiktas (#5) and hope to win that game.
