Very important is a home loss of second ranked Mersin Kurtulus (6-4) against fourth ranked Bursa BSB (6-4) on Sunday night. Host Mersin Kurtulus was defeated by Bursa BSB in Mersin 76-66. The game was mostly controlled by Bursa BSB. Mersin Kurtulus managed to win third quarter 17-11. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. American forward Alyssia Brewer (190-90, college: UCLA) had a double-double by scoring 28 points, 21 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals to lead the charge for the winners and Arzu Akay (186-76) chipped in 10 points and 11 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side American guard Erica Wheeler (170-91, college: Rutgers) responded with a double-double by scoring 18 points, 11 rebounds and 7 assists and Ilkay Kocaslan produced a double-double by scoring 13 points and 15 rebounds. Bursa BSB have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to second place in Group E, which they share with defeated Mersin Kurtulus. Mersin Kurtulus lost third consecutive game.
