No shocking result in a game when second ranked Brose Baskets (27-6) beat 9th ranked Mitteldeutscher BC (16-17) in Weissenfels 82-71 on Sunday. The game was mostly controlled by Brose Baskets. Mitteldeutscher BC managed to win third quarter 21-19. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded Mitteldeutscher BC 38-27 including 27 on the defensive glass. Trinidad and Tobago-American center D'or Fischer (211-81, college: W.Virginia) nailed 15 points and 6 rebounds for the winning side and naturalized Slovakian point guard Anton Gavel (189-84, agency: Pro One Sports) accounted for 18 points and 5 rebounds. American point guard Marcus Hatten (186-80, college: St.John's) came up with 19 points and 6 assists and the other American import guard Michael Cuffee (195-83, college: Middle Tenn.St.) added 12 points and 5 rebounds respectively for Mitteldeutscher BC in the defeat. Four Mitteldeutscher BC players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest.
