There was no surprise when 17th ranked Bandirma Kir. (7-26) was defeated on the road by fifth ranked Akhisar Bld (22-11) 70-55. The game without a history. Akhisar Bld led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. American power forward Charles Rhodes (203-85, college: Mississippi St.) nailed a double-double by scoring 22 points, 18 rebounds and 4 blocks for the winning side and his fellow American import point guard Nic Wise (178-87, college: Arizona) accounted for 11 points and 9 assists. Four Akhisar Bld players scored in double figures. American point guard Harvey Todd (188-91, college: Wash.Adventist, agency: BBEH Cokrlija) came up with 17 points (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field) and forward Cenk Sekeroglu (203-91) added 9 points and 7 rebounds respectively for Bandirma Kir. in the defeat. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Akhisar Bld moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Yesilgiresun.
