Regular Season Round 30: Galatasaray - Usak 73-70

Seventh-ranked Usak (16-14) was very close to win a game against fourth ranked Galatasaray (20-10) in Istanbul. Galatasaray managed to secure only three-point victory 73-70. However their fans expected easier game. Usak was ahead by 8 points at the halftime before a 28-11 third quarter run of Galatasaray. Serbian Zoran Erceg (210-85) scored 14 points and 7 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and the former international Furkan Aldemir (207-91, agency: Beo Basket) chipped in 12 points and 9 rebounds during the contest. Galatasaray's coach Ergin Ataman used entire bench in such tough game. The best for the losing side was the former international point guard Ibrahim Yildirim (190-90) with 16 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists and American forward Justin Carter (193-87, college: Creighton) scored 14 points and 5 rebounds. Five Usak players scored in double figures. Galatasaray have an impressive five-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains fourth position with 20-10 record. Usak lost fourth consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the seventh place with 14 games lost. They share the position with Tofas.
