Regular Season Round 30: Usak - Trabzonspor 65-78

Date: May 7, 2014
Worth to mention about the upset in a game between Usak (16-14) and Trabzonspor (13-17), which took place in Usak. 7th ranked Usak lost at home to tenth ranked Trabzonspor 65-78 on Wednesday. The game was mostly controlled by Trabzonspor. Usak managed to win fourth quarter 18-14. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. American point guard Jerome Randle (175-87, college: California) notched 15 points and 5 assists to lead the effort and New Zealand guard Kirk Penney (196-80, college: Wisconsin, agency: Duran International) supported him with 16 points. Even a double-double of 16 points and 15 rebounds by American power forward Elijah Holman (208-89, college: Detroit Mercy) did not help to save the game for Usak. The former international point guard Ibrahim Yildirim (190-90) added 8 points. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Trabzonspor moved-up to ninth place, which they share with Royal Hali. Usak lost fourth consecutive game. Usak at the other side, also newcomer in the league, keeps the seventh position with 14 games lost. They share it with Tofas.
