Atomeromu gained the opening victory in their semifinal series versus Sopron KC. Atomeromu led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Sopron KC to just 2 points in fourth quarter and to 11 points in second half. Atomeromu held Sopron KC to an opponent 23.1 percent shooting from the field compared to 38.0 percent accuracy of the winners. They outrebounded Sopron KC 55-33 including a 40-26 advantage in defensive rebounds. American forward Jarrod Jones (205-90, college: Ball St.) nailed a double-double by scoring 14 points and 13 rebounds for the winning side and his fellow American import Rodney McGruder (193-91, college: Kansas St.) accounted for 15 points and 8 rebounds. Montenegrin swingman Milos Borisov (198-85) came up with 10 points and 6 rebounds and naturalized American point guard Dontay Thomas (187-84, college: La Salle) added 6 points respectively for Sopron KC in the defeat. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games.
