Regular Season Round 2: Wels - Kapfenberg 81-89

The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of Raiffeisen Wels (1-1) at the home court on Sunday night. Hosts were defeated by Kapfenberg Bulls (2-0) 89-81. The guests trailed by 5 points after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 4-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 89-81. Kapfenberg Bulls outrebounded Raiffeisen Wels 38-25 including 28 on the defensive glass. The best player for the winners was American swingman Ian Boylan (197-83, college: CS Northridge) who scored 22 points (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field). The other American import swingman Shawn Ray (194-80, college: N.C.Central) chipped in 17 points and 6 rebounds. Raiffeisen Wels will play against Furstenfeld Panthers and are hoping to prove to their fans that the loss was just an accident.
