There was a minor upset in Panevezys where Lietkabelis (0-2) was crushed by Dzukija (1-2) 86-64. Lietkabelis was ahead by 1 point at the halftime before a 43-20 second half run of Dzukija. They made 16-of-21 charity shots (76.2 percent) during the game. Dzukija outrebounded Lietkabelis 43-21 including a 31-15 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was an exceptional evening for forward Vilmantas Dilys (208-87) who led the winners and scored 18 points and 8 rebounds. American guard Michael Dixon (185-90, college: Memphis) accounted for 12 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists for the winning side. Russian center Ivan Nelyubov (207-88) came up with 10 points and the former international forward Dainius Salenga (197-77) added 14 points respectively for Lietkabelis in the defeat. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Dzukija will have a break next round. Lietkabelis will play at home against Zalgiris and hopes to get finally their first victory.
