Not a big story in a game when Hannover (0-3) was defeated at home by Wolfpack Wolfenbuettel (2-1) 67-61. Hannover was ahead by 4 points at the halftime before a 21-5 third quarter run of Wolfpack Wolfenbuettel. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Hannover to just 5 points in third quarter. Polish forward Klaudia Grudzien (184-90) orchestrated the victory by scoring 13 points and 8 rebounds. American center Katie Cizynski (189, college: Fairfield) contributed with 14 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Forward Stefanie Grigoleit (186-89) replied with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 10 rebounds and point guard Natascha Bunts (170) added 11 points in the effort for Hannover. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Wolfpack Wolfenbuettel will play against Zehlendorf in Berlin in the next round where they are favorite. Hannover will play on the road against Hagen Phoenix to get more than just one victory in their record.
