The biggest surprise of round 2 in DBBL took place in Halle where host SV Halle Lions (1-1) edged Donau-Ries (1-1) 69-66 on Friday evening. The hosts trailed by 1 point at the halftime before their 13-8 charge in the third quarter, which allowed them to win the game. The best player for the winners was forward Laura Hebecker (181-93) who scored 22 points. American guard Tiffany Porter-Talbert (177-84, college: W.Kentucky) chipped in 11 points and 7 rebounds. SV Halle Lions' coach Jennifer Kerns used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. American Melissa Jeltema (175-88, college: Oakland) produced 21 points and 5 rebounds and Canadian power forward Nayo Raincock-Ekunwe (188-91, college: Simon Fraser) added 17 points and 7 rebounds respectively for the guests.
