There was no surprise when Licher Basket (0-2) was defeated at home by Dragons Rhoendorf (2-0) 74-64 on Saturday. The best player for the winners was forward Fabian Thuelig (199-89) who scored 15 points and 5 rebounds. American center Theron Laudermill (200-89, college: CS San Bernar.) chipped in 14 points. Laudermill is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. American Andrae Nelson (201-91, college: Morehouse) produced 17 points and 9 rebounds and his fellow American import guard Jermale Jones (186-86, college: Tuskegee) added 17 points respectively for the hosts. Four Licher Basket players scored in double figures. Dragons Rhoendorf will face SG Schwelmer Baskets at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Licher Basket will play against TV Langen and hope to win that game.
