The biggest surprise of round 2 in ProB took place in Braunschweig where host DRUFF! (2-0) beat AstroStars (1-1) 92-87 on Saturday evening. DRUFF! made 21-of-27 free shots (77.8 percent) during the game. 24 personal fouls committed by AstroStars helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. The best player for the winners was Lukas Meisner (201-95) who had a double-double by scoring 22 points and 10 rebounds. point guard Martin Bogdanov (183-92) chipped in 21 points and 5 assists. Four DRUFF! players scored in double figures. American Ryon Howard (198-84, college: Sacred Heart) produced 25 points and 9 rebounds (on 11-of-14 shooting from the field) and naturalized Tunisian guard Chamseddine Korbi (188-83) added 15 points respectively for the guests. AstroStars' coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. AstroStars will play next round against Titans trying to make it back to the top of the standings. DRUFF! will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game.
