Regular Season Round 2: ICIM Arad - Timisoara 61-47

There was no surprise when Timisoara (0-2) was defeated on the road by ICIM Arad (2-0) 61-47 on Saturday. The hosts trailed by 3 points after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 6-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 61-47. ICIM Arad dominated on the defensive end, holding Timisoara to just 4 points in fourth quarter. They also forced 20 Timisoara turnovers. The best player for the winners was Serbian forward Suzana Milovanovic (185-79) who scored 21 points and 8 rebounds. American guard Meighan Simmons (175-92, college: Tennessee) chipped in 14 points and 6 rebounds. Serbian guard Biljana Pesovic (180-83) produced 19 points and 8 rebounds and Serbian guard Natasa Krnjetina (180-88) added 10 points and 9 rebounds respectively for the guests. ICIM Arad will face Sf.Gheorghe (#3) in Sfantu Gheorghe in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Timisoara will play at home against Alexandria (#9) and hope to win that game.
