Regular Season Round 2: Hannover - Barmer TV 70-79

Date: October 5, 2014
No shocking result in a game when Barmer TV (2-0) defeated on the road Hannover (0-3) 79-70. It looked good early as Hannover took an 1-point lead at the end of first quarter. But then Barmer TV had a 25-16 second period charge getting the lead and Hannover was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 70-79. Barmer TV forced 31 Hannover turnovers. American point guard Savannah Morgan (173-92, college: Emory) orchestrated the victory by scoring 22 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. Chantal Neuwald (180-95) contributed with 17 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. American forward Samantha Baranowski (192-90, college: Maine) replied with 18 points and 7 rebounds and forward Stefanie Grigoleit (186-89) added 7 points, 11 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals in the effort for Hannover. Hannover's coach Rodger Battersby rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Barmer TV will play against TG Neuss on the road in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Hannover will play against Hagen Phoenix to get more than just one victory in their record.
