Regular Season Round 3: Saarlouis - Marburg 70-63

Date: October 5, 2014
Not a big story in a game when BC Pharmaserv Marburg (1-2) lost on the road to TV Saarlouis Royals (3-0) 70-63. The hosts started the game with a very strong first quarter 25-11. But BC Pharmaserv Marburg won third quarter 17-10. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. It was a great evening for American swingman Kayla Tetschlag (182-89, college: Green Bay, agency: LBM Management) who led her team to a victory scoring 19 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists. Her fellow American import guard Stefanie Gilbreath (185-89, college: N.Mexico St., agency: LBM Management) helped adding 19 points and 11 rebounds. Four TV Saarlouis Royals players scored in double figures. TV Saarlouis Royals' coach Rene Spandauw allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. The best for the losing side was American point guard Bjonee Reaves (168-90, college: Cincinnati, agency: LBM Management) with 13 points and 6 rebounds and the former international center Lisa Koop (197-85, college: Winthrop) scored 12 points. TV Saarlouis Royals will play against TSV 1880 Wasserburg (#3) on the road in the next round, which may be the game of the day. BC Pharmaserv Marburg will play against Donau-Ries and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
