Donau-Ries used a home court advantage and defeated the opponent from Langen 82-66. The game without a history. Donau-Ries led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They made 20-of-23 charity shots (87.0 percent) during the game. It was a great evening for Canadian power forward Nayo Raincock-Ekunwe (188-91, college: Simon Fraser) who led her team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 22 points and 11 rebounds. American Melissa Jeltema (175-88, college: Oakland) helped adding 22 points and 7 rebounds. Five Donau-Ries players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was point guard Pia Dietrich (168-94) with 17 points and 5 rebounds and American guard Jazmine Redmon (175, college: Gonzaga) scored 8 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists. Donau-Ries will play against BC Pharmaserv Marburg on the road in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Rhein Main Baskets will play against Eisvogel Freiburg to get more than just one victory in their record.
