But Crailsheim Merlins were not able to use a home court advantage and lost to the opponent from Goettingen 84-80. It looked good early as Crailsheim Merlins took an 8-point lead at the end of first quarter. But then BG Goettingen took control and eventually winning the game that evening by 4 points. It was a great evening for American power forward Harper Kamp (203-88, college: California) who led his team to a victory scoring 16 points and 6 assists. His fellow American import point guard Khalid El-Amin (178-79, college: Connecticut) helped adding 13 points and 8 assists. Five BG Goettingen players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was point guard Joshiko Saibou (188-90) with 19 points and 4 assists and power forward Jannik Freese (211-86, agency: Octagon Europe) scored 11 points and 6 rebounds. Crailsheim Merlins' coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. BG Goettingen will play against TBB Trier at home in the next round. Crailsheim Merlins will play against EnBW Ludwigsburg and hope to get finally their first victory.
