Regular Season Round 4: Perlas-MRU - Vilnius Palanga 90-68

Bottom-ranked Vilnius Palanga (0-2) is still winless. But it was rather predictable considering how strong their opponent was. This time they lost on the road their second consecutive match to fifth ranked Perlas-MRU (3-1) 90-68. Vilnius Palanga was tied at the half but could not keep up in last two quarters eventually losing the game. Perlas-MRU made 27-of-34 charity shots (79.4 percent) during the game. 24 personal fouls committed by Vilnius Palanga helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. It was a very good performance for forward Antanas Udras (203-92) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 20 points and 10 rebounds. Mantas Mockevicius (189-93, college: Olney Central CC) replied with 18 points and 4 assists and center Saulius Dumbliauskas (203-81, college: St.Bonaventure, agency: Court Side) added 10 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Vilnius Palanga. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Perlas-MRU moved-up to second place, which they share with 3 other teams. Newly promoted Vilnius Palanga still closes the standings with two games lost. Perlas-MRU's next round opponent will be JAZZ-Diremta (#13) in Kaunas which should be another easy win for them. Vilnius Palanga will play on the road against Zanavykas in Sakiai and hopes to get finally their first victory.
