Regular Season Round 1: BC Kyiv - Budivelnyk 48-90

Date: October 11, 2014
Another interesting game for Budivelnyk (1-0) which played on the court of BC Kyiv (0-1). Budivelnyk crushed hosts 90-48. The game without a history. Budivelnyk led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to BC Kyiv's 36. Budivelnyk forced 24 BC Kyiv turnovers. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 33 assists comparing to just 9 passes made by BC Kyiv's players. International guard Oleksandr Lypovyy (200-91, agency: Beo Basket) stepped up and scored 15 points and 7 assists for the winners and the former international point guard Dmytro Zabirchenko (192-84, agency: Stanislav Ryzhov) chipped in 7 points and 7 assists. At the losing side power forward Maksim Sandul (207-91) responded with 13 points and 7 rebounds and the former international Ruslan Otverchenko (192-90, agency: Beo Basket) scored 15 points. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
